About the Inner West Steiner Playgroups

Our playgroup started in 2004 the house of two ex-Steiner students Fiona and Amanda, who knew nothing about running a playgroup, but soon learned, through trial and error, and with excellent guidance from Ebba Bodame, Early Childhood Specialist at Glenaeon Steiner School.
Throughout the year children and parents together embark on a journey, experiencing and celebrating nature and the seasons through stories, songs, poems, games, baking and festivals.
Children will meet and play together, parents will get to know each other and share with each other.

Our Vision:

Our vision is for families to be sharing conscious and loving parenting with their children. To see children and parents, working together in a warm and creative environment, nurtured and encouraged towards their own personal growth and awareness.

Our Mission

To create a ‘Steiner’ and transformative educational environment where parents and children develop healthy, balanced and loving relationship. Our program offers families an experience of parenting with creativity, consciousness and warmth. Through this we aim to equip parents and children with practical skill and inner qualities to confidently meet the challenges of today and into the future.
