With the nearest schools being the Blue Mountains or Northern suburbs, I feel this would compromise my children's chance of being part of their local community. My family & I are considering moving to
Toowoomba to be closer to family ( my daughters grandparents on both
sides live there). I would be elated if a Steiner school was available
for my daughter to attend. I have done plenty of reading & research of
the schooling provided in Steiner school & believe they provide a
wholesome, well rounded education in a nurturing environment that I
would love to have available for my daughters' school years.
Is there anyone else in the Toowoomba /
Darling Downs area that feels the same. Myself & my husband would be
more than happy to help get a school started- if someone could tell us
how?
If this doesn't seem possible in the next year or two I would seriously consider moving the family to an area were our daughter can attend a Steiner school. Please contact me with any information about starting up a school in the Toowoomba region, if you think it would be possible. Warm regards

Hi,
I'm very interested in a Steiner School initiative in my area. I'm in the Redlands, east of Brisbane, and have a 4 year old daughter. I've just started at the local public school and am quite unhappy with some of the goings on, thus am looking for alternatives. | Gold Coast (Currumbin) |
Hi,
My name is Jan I have a 15 year old son who is happy where he is but I have a 10 year old who has struggled in main stream education since she began. My closest Steiner school is about 40 min away and is just not practical at this moment to take on extra traveling and other cost associated and I am not just talking monetary. My son has a part-time job and I am a single parent so I can only realistically do so much. I live in the Currumbin area of the gold coast and would love to see my daughter attend a Steiner school. I also have helped many other single mums out with their kids and often here from them that main stream education is not fulfilling all their needs. It has taken me awhile to post as I am unsure of what it will take to get this off the ground. I believe that it is something I must do even if it doesn't directly help my own children. Just maybe someone else out their in my situation my have more opportunities for their children. Rome was built in a day and neither is a wonderful place like a Steiner school. So anyone else out their interested give me an email and see what we can create.
God bless Steiner schools here and everywhere around the world.
Thanks jan mackey |

We are a group of parents committed to establishing a Steiner stream
at a public school, commencing in 2010.
If your child is currently between ages 0 and 3 years – your child could commence and continue a Steiner primary education right here in the western suburbs of Adelaide. The school would open with classes Reception and Grade 1 and each year as that class moves on a level, a new class 1 is begun. Thus in 7 years a full primary school of Steiner classes is formed. We are seeking as many registrations of interest as possible to progress. Please visit our site at http://www.futurefamilies.com.au/western%20steiner%20school%20proposal.pdf and return the form to us asap. Hi !
I live in Essendon and am interested in sending my child to a Steiner play-group kindergarten. Just wondering whether anyone else has investigated starting such a group on this side of town. Apologies to anyone who has already contacted me – unfortunately my computer crashed and I have lost all correspondence. We would like to continue the teaching as long as we can, but unfortunately there are no Steiner schools in Tokyo. That is the reason why we would like to start from home schooling.
