Candlenut Steiner School

Nestled on 40 acres of beautiful bush land in Kuranda, Candlenut Steiner School offers a unique educational opportunity to families in the Cairns, Kuranda and the Tablelands region. 

At Candlenut, each child is encouraged to reach his or her full potential in a nurturing, peaceful and respectful environment.  Through creative and caring teaching practices, our teachers work to inspire the individual to unfold and develop that which lies within, so that he or she may go forth into adulthood, able to impart direction and meaning to their own lives. 

At present, we offer Kindy and Prep through to Class Seven in our Primary School and Class Eight in our High School.  Class Nine will be offered in 2012 and Class Ten will be offered in 2013. 

Candlenut Steiner School is a member of Steiner Education Australia, and is fully government accredited.  All our teachers are fully qualified and our curriculum meets the educational standards set by the Queensland Board of Studies.
