Back to Steiner Schools in Australia
Marion Steiner Playgroup in Adelaide runs on Monday mornings and creates a homelike environment with a steady rhythm and routine of indoor and outdoor play time, craft activities and morning tea in which both children and their parents are involved. The playgroup is a great opportunity to mix with like minded people drawing inspiration from Waldorf/Steiner education. For further information please contact Ursula Beaumont on 0403 982 884 or ursula_beaumont@iprimus.com.au
The Playgroup is also in the process of starting up a duel stream Steiner/Public school.

Steiner Stream Project - The Story So Far
The Steiner Stream Project has developed out of the Marion Steiner Playgroup which has been running since 2008. It has grown steadily toward establishing a schooling option in metropolitan south west Adelaide for those children nearing school age. The intention is to have a Steiner Education program within a public school system in 2013.
A precedent for this project has been set in Adelaide with Trinity Gardens Primary School introducing a Steiner stream in 2006. There are currently a number of schools where a Steiner stream runs in parallel to the standard curriculum in Australia (see links below under ‘What is Steiner Education?’).
Our vision
Ø To establish a Steiner Education initiative within a primary school in 2013 in south west metropolitan Adelaide.
Ø To make Steiner Education available to local children.
This education offers:
o Developmentally based, age-appropriate learning - a foundation to resilience and well being.
o An holistic approach which engages the whole child – intellectually, emotionally, socially and practically.
o An environmental education which encourages awareness and interaction with nature.
o A culturally rich education as the foundation for tolerance and understanding.
o A methodology which promotes deep learning – the basis of a lifelong love of learning.
