The Alice Springs Steiner School is looking for an experienced Steiner Teacher to join our enthusiastic team of Steiner Educators.  We are looking for a teacher who is inspired by working in a creative environment, loves learning and has a passion for teaching.

Our teachers are required to have an interest in, and commitment to, Steiner’s educational philosophies. Experience as a Steiner Teacher would be preferred.

To teach in the Northern Territory teachers are required to be registered with the NT Teachers Registration Board.

Class 3 Strings Teacher

3 term Contractor Position

Mumbulla School is seeking applications for the above position, to start in Term 2, 2010.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Violin and Viola teacher with a sound knowledge of Strings playing and teaching, good communication skills and the ability to work closely with class teachers and other Music staff. 

This is a contractor position for 3 hours, 1 day per week teaching Violin and Viola to complete beginner Strings players.  As an external contractor you will:

  • be required to have your own insurance and ABN.

  • invoice the school monthly with a set hourly rate.

The West Coast Steiner School is based in Nollamara, 9 km north of the Perth CBD in Western Australia, and offers a full Steiner/Waldorf education for Kindergarten and Primary school children.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Kindergarten Teacher to work Monday-Friday mornings with a mixed age Kindergarten class of children who turn 4 or 5 years old this year.

The position will commence in Term2, 2010.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

  1. Positive attitude towards children and a love of teaching, preferably early years

  2. Teaching Qualification and WACOT registration, (or eligibility)

  3. Strong interpersonal communications, including ability to work in a team

  4. Knowledge of the principles of Rudolf Steiner education, particularly issues relevant to age-appropriate schooling

  5. Willingness to participate in pedagogical processes, including planning, reporting, meeting with parents, attending meetings, and professional development.

Originating in the heart of the Glen Eira community, our kindergarten has had a very special place in the lives of many families since 1987. Originally located at Tara Grove in Carnegie, our kindergarten relocated in 2007 to its new home within the grounds of East Bentleigh Primary School, where a Steiner program runs parallel with mainstream curriculum.

We are looking for a dynamic and positive Steiner-trained kindergarten teacher who will be part of a growing and learning community and who will join us in the long‑term vision for our kindergarten.  This includes continuing to develop the partnership and community spirit between our playgroup, kinder and school.

Wonderland Steiner Initiative seeking Expression of interests for Kindergarten/Preschool teacher

We are seeking expressions of interest for an Early Childhood teacher qualified to deliver State and Steiner curriculum in a start up pre/primary school.

Wonderland is a strong community group who is striving to create Steiner Education and Early Childhood experiences for children in the greater Caboolture area, QLD.

We currently run two weekly playgroup sessions, occasional workshops and parenting courses, and are putting together an action committee of like minded families to start a Steiner school in the area.

We are a strong community group who have been striving to create Steiner Education and Early Childhood experiences for children in the Eurobodalla for about 10 years.
We currently run two weekly playgroup sessions, celebrate season festivals, have a community garden plot for children and their families, craft circle, study groups and run regular workshops and parenting courses.

Physical Education Teacher

Development and implementation of a PE programme for Sophia Mundi Steiner School, covering Primary and High School students in years 3 to 12.

  1. Accountabilities

To create a unique and rich PE programme which:

  • Supports the objectives of the Steiner Curriculum across all year levels

  • Fits in with the natural advantages of the convent site

  • Utilises available internal space and nearby communal facilities as appropriate

  • While primarily aiming for participation, allows scope for sporting excellence to be achieved

  • Is specialist in nature rather than trying to reproduce “mainstream sports” which can be catered for out of hours

  • Is compliant with all State and Federal curriculum requirements
